In order to keep the wiki organized, please try to follow these guidelines for naming pages and creating links to other pages on the wiki. These rules are based on those used on Wikipedia.
Page names: Page names should be singular nouns. Only the first letter of the first word and proper names should be capitalized. Examples:
“Sampling method” instead of “Sampling methods.”
“Markov chain Monte Carlo” instead of “Markov Chain Monte Carlo.”
Links: Links to pages that don’t exist should use the above naming rules since the wanted pages list in Instiki is case sensitive. If the singular form or case doesn’t work grammatically, use an aliased link. Examples:
Let $X_1$ and $X_2$ be independent [[Random variable|random variables]]
References: Provide references to books and journal articles whenever possible. Suggested citation formats:
Books: Robert, C.P., and G. Casella (2004). Monte Carlo Statistical Methods, Second Edition. New York: Springer.
Articles: Chib, S. and E. Greenberg (1995). Understanding the Metropolis Hastings Algorithm. American Statistical Journal 49, 327–335.
